Duke University School of Medicine is soliciting nominations for the Master Clinician/Teacher Award, which is a class of awards to faculty that has been created for the purpose of honoring individuals for superlative accomplishment and service in the area of Medical School/Medical Center teaching.
The intent is to honor those individuals who have made an extraordinary commitment to teaching, “above and beyond” normal expectations, and who you might consider an “unsung hero” in teaching at Duke.
Nominees must hold a faculty appointment in the Duke University School of Medicine and participate in the education of fellows, residents, medical students, Physician Assistant, Pathology Assistant, and Doctor of Physical Therapy students or be involved in one of the School of Medicine Masters Programs. (Nominations/comments from trainees are especially valued.)
The review committee members along with Dr. Buckley will recommend candidates to the Dean who will make the final selections.
We wish to keep the initial nomination process simple and nominator-friendly, and request that you simply submit a one page (no more) nomination letter, by e-mail, simply stating why your nominee is deserving of this award for extraordinary commitment to medical education.
Please submit the letters to Karen Tesoriero at Karen.tesoriero@duke.edu
