2024 EDUCATION DAY - MARCH 22, 2024
Education Day breakout sessions present the opportunity for our health professions educators to examine broad HPE topics from a variety of perspectives which result in rich conversation among our diverse professions. Education Day will celebrate 10 years of Duke AHEAD and the many contributions of our health professions educators in contributing to the missions listed below.
Sessions will be scheduled for 75 minutes and are in small group rooms typically reserved for audience sizes of up to 40 participants. Audience participation activities are encouraged. To apply, please submit a proposal to include the elements below (limit 950 words) via Qualtrics here. Your submission can be uploaded via Word document or PDF. Proposals in line with the Duke AHEAD mission statement outlined below will be given priority.
Duke AHEAD’s mission is to promote excellence in the education of health professionals by:
- creating a community of education scholars
- fostering innovation in health professions education
- supporting outstanding teachers
- providing faculty development programs
- facilitating quality education research
The proposal must include the following:
- Title
- Presenters and their school/department
- Purpose: What problems or issues were identified and addressed?
- Description of proposed format of session
Proposals will be reviewed by our Education Day planning committee and those selected will be informed the week of December 18th.
