Health Professions Education is an annual event hosted by Duke AHEAD, Duke Office of Graduate Medical Education, Duke School of Nursing and Duke School of Medicine. The Education Day planning committee helps to define educator interests and then identify appropriate activities and speakers for the day. Full details about the 2017 event coming soon!
Duke AHEAD is currently developing a certificate program for Health Professions Educators. This program will prepare health profession clinicians to teach in academic and clinical settings. It provides learners with the educational principles needed to integrate their clinical acumen and knowledge with didactic and theoretical tools to teach others. The committee is currently creating an interprofessional curriculum and hopes to launch the program in early 2016.
