This interactive session will help participants to:
- Understand economic and equity issues in scholarly publishing that have led to the rise of open access journals
- Distinguish between legitimate and potentially predatory open access journals
- Utilize multiple tools in order to identify several potential appropriate journals for a given manuscript
- Demystify some of the acronyms and jargon seen on journal websites
