Now Accepting Nominations for 2024 Interprofessional Education Team Excellence Award

Share

Duke AHEAD is now accepting nominations for the Interprofessional Education Team Excellence award, which honors teams for extraordinary accomplishments and service in interprofessional education and care.

The review committee members along with the Associate Dean of Duke AHEAD (Dr. Diana McNeill) will determine the recipients of these awards.

Criteria: This award celebrates the exceptional achievements in the coordination of learners, faculty, or staff as a team within the realm of educational activities. A key criterion for consideration is the emphasis on educational activities that are patient and/or learner-centered, fostering an environment conducive to optimal learning experiences. The nominated team should exemplify excellence in interprofessional teamwork and teaching methodologies, showcasing their commitment to collaborative and inclusive educational practices. To be eligible, teams must be made up of two or more educators from different professions. This award seeks to recognize the often overlooked "hidden gems" within faculty and staff who contribute significantly to teaching and leading interprofessional teams. The nomination process is streamlined and accessible, allowing individuals to self-nominate online with an additional letter of support. We encourage all deserving teams to embrace this opportunity and showcase their dedication to advancing health professions education through outstanding collaborative efforts.

Please complete the nomination form here. Nominations must be received by 2/29 and nominees and recipients will be honored at Duke AHEAD’s annual Education Day on 3/22/2024.

The team recipient of this year’s award will receive a plaque and $250 to be used for a team activity.
