DUKE RESOURCES

As we adapt to the concept of social distancing, we've compiled a list to help make the transition to virtual teaching and working a bit easier.  Thanks to all those who have compiled resources already to help keep our learners learning!  Check back frequently for new resources, and email suggestions to dukeahead@duke.edu.

What is Flexible Teaching? Our goal is to help Duke faculty design and develop courses that can be successful in any mode of delivery — face-to-face, online or hybrid. To that end, we are committed to helping you create the most resilient, flexible course(s) possible. We are calling this effort “flexible teaching.”

Medical Center Library Resources - Check out the Lib guide for educators along with  the recently added "Moving Courses Online" tab.

Keep Teaching - Resources, strategies, and a step-by step guide, this site is full of up-to-date virtual teaching tips.

Keep Working -  Because in addition to switching your teaching to virtual, you're also being asked to complete administrative tasks remotely.  This site provides lots of how-to's, from learning Zoom, understanding and implementing Microsoft teams, to having your office calls forwarded to other lines, and voicemails sent to emails.

OIT has created a library of "how-to's" on everything from Microsoft Teams to using an iPad to create a virtual whiteboard.  Also includes tons of tips on managing Zoom meetings.  Check out the full list here: https://warpwire.duke.edu/w/VXgDAA/

The School of Medicine has created an educational technology resource page with information on equipment, recording lectures, and more.

Are you holding faculty development sessions that you'd usually offer continuing education credits for?  Participants can still receive credit for remote learning!

As always, many of our faculty development sessions are recorded and posted online.  Looking for a session but not sure if it was recorded, or searching for the slides?  Email dukeahead@dm.duke.edu and we can help!

Our Medical Center Library is offering some fantastic classes online on systematic reviews, PubMed, Mendeley, and More!  Check out the list and sign up today!
