Tell us about yourself.
I serve as the Simulation Education Coordinator and Co-Director of the Interprofessional Advanced Fellowship in Clinical Simulation at the Durham VA Health Care System. I also am the Nursing Program Manager for Duke Area Health Education Center (AHEC). I have been involved with health professions education in a variety of capacities over the past twenty years and enjoy working with interprofessional faculty, learners, and teams.
Why did you join Duke AHEAD?
I joined Duke AHEAD to increase my involvement in our broader interprofessional community, to enhance my skills as a health professions educator, and to engage with other like-minded individuals to make a difference in the way we educate our diverse learners. I see all of this as leading to the ultimate goal of impacting our organizations in a positive manner and enhancing our patient care outcomes.
What do you hope to get out of Duke AHEAD?
I love being part of Duke AHEAD as it provides many opportunities for professional growth, networking, and education!
What can Duke AHEAD do for you?
Duke AHEAD is a unique program that has helped me connect more fully with other health professions educators who share my passion for interprofessional education and development.
