Steering Committee member Jacqui Barnett, DHSc, MSHS, PA-C was recently invited to deliver the keynote address at the CUNY School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program's 44th Commencement Ceremony.

From Dr. Barnett: "When I was asked to give the keynote address at this 44th commencement celebration it was truly an honor.  The City College of New York School of Medicine and the Physician Assistant (PA) Program have a proud mission to serve through expanding access to medical education to individuals from underserved communities and disadvantaged backgrounds.  Their mission speaks to the core of who I am as a person.  Therefore, my message to the graduates focused on them demonstrating the qualities of a servant leader.  I challenged the graduates to make a difference and to live up to Winston Churchill’s quote 'We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.'  It was a wonderful and humbling event!"
