Duke AHEAD is excited to announce the 2nd annual Interprofessional Excellence Award for professionals and staff. Two awards will be presented to professionals and staff; one for 5+ years IPE experience, and one for less than five years IPE experience.
Nomination Process
To be nominated for this prestigious award requires:
- a letter of recommendation from a peer ideally from a profession different from the nominee
- nomination letter should be no more than 500 words and address following criteria:
- IPE research or scholarly work
- IPE teaching
- IPE clinical education
- impact of past work
- current work
- work dissemination
- the range of professions in work
- Not all criteria will be applicable so please speak to the categories that are appropriate
Nomination letters are due August 15th by 6:00 pm. Letters will need to be sent in PDF format to dukeahead@dm.duke.edu.
Duke AHEAD IPE Awards Committee will review each nomination letter and finalists will be asked to submit a CV and 1 page personal statement speaking to their personal experiences and the impact they have made and continue to make in inter-professional education. An additional letter of support may be submitted at this time.
The recipients of the Interprofessional Excellence Award will be announce on Duke AHEAD Education Day, October 16, 2017.
