2025 Duke AHEAD Request for Proposals

As part of our efforts to support the vision, creativity, ingenuity, and scholarly work of educators and educational researchers, we are pleased to offer project funding for members of Duke AHEAD. This competitive funding mechanism is intended to provide critical start-up funds for pilot research or funding for innovative projects that will generate new evidence, new ideas, and/or new approaches for improving health professions education. We will prioritize projects that are innovative and that illustrate the potential to positively transform the educational experience of learners and/or the learning environment in Duke Health.

The Duke AHEAD Distinguished Member level recognizes Duke Health educators who have demonstrated consistent, sustained and on-going contributions to health professions education.  The purpose of the Distinguished Member level is to:

AHEAD Welcomes New Associate Director

Duke AHEAD is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Rebecca Sadun as our new associate director!  Dr. Sadun is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics and has been an active member of Duke AHEAD since its inception in 2014.  She is a graduate of Duke AHEAD’s Health Professions Education Certificate Program and was an inaugural mentor for Duke AHEAD’s mentorship program. Now Accepting Nominations for 2024 Interprofessional Education Team Excellence Award

Duke AHEAD is now accepting nominations for the Interprofessional Education Team Excellence award, which honors teams for extraordinary accomplishments and service in interprofessional education and care.  

The review committee members along with the Associate Dean of Duke AHEAD (Dr. Diana McNeill) will determine the recipients of these awards.

Application Cycle Now Open - Leadership for Educators Accelerated Program (LEAP)

Duke AHEAD’s Leadership for Educators Accelerator Program (LEAP) is now accepting applications for the spring ’24 cohort.
