We are excited to offer an opportunity for faculty who are interested in health professions education as a career to apply for the 2022-2023 cohort of the Certificate in Health Professions Education & Teaching program. This 12-month program will allow up to 12 faculty, professional staff, or fellows from the School of Nursing, Physical Therapy Program, Physician Assistant Programs, School of Medicine, Duke University Health System, and Professors of the Practice of Medical Education to participate.

Duke AHEAD, DUSON IEE, Duke AHEC and Duke IPEC Center are excited to announce our first ever regional event, "Practical Tools for Cultivating an Inclusive Culture in Health Professions Education on April 1, 2022.. This program does include a poster session and we invite abstract submissions using the guidelines below. 

Using the Stress First Aid framework, learn how to identify stress reactions in yourself and others, reduce the risk for stress injury, and promote coping and resilience among individuals and groups in social, occupational, and academic settings.

In recognition of this challenge, Duke AHEAD offers the Duke AHEAD Supports Health Professions Educators (DASHE) program. DASHE Vouchers are designed to be used in a wide variety of ways by connecting our educators with high quality academic services that facilitate their engagement in scholarly work.  This fall, we were privileged to award over $20,000 in services to 9 of our members.

This program will launch on September 20, 2021. It is designed to help Duke AHEAD members get started with a manuscript, get “over the hump,” or revise a manuscript.
