Junior faculty members are often faced with the critical challenge of jump-starting their careers at the same time that family/childcare obligations are least flexible. In recognition of this challenge, the School of Medicine is pleased to support the Faculty Flex Voucher Program.
Applications are now open for new LEAD Fellows for the 2017-18 program. Designed for early to mid-career faculty engaged in or aspiring to becoming educational leaders, this one-year, cohort-based program provides a firm foundation in the best practices and recognized theoretical models of effective educational leadership that are key to advancing medical education at all levels. LEAD is offered as a national program with four regionally-based cohorts. Created in 2009, as of April 2016, there are 97 LEAD graduates from across the country.
This past weekend at the North Carolina Physical Therapy Association’s (NCPTA) Fall Conference, steering committee member Kyle Covington, PT, DPT, PhD was elected NCPTA President. Dr. Covington will serve as president for a three year term. Congratulations!
